Our Australian visitors have been getting up to plenty in the last week! They have recently returned from a five-day trip to Pak Lap where they participated in an array of leadership and adventurous activities. There was abseiling, sea kayaking, hiking, coasteering, raft building and lots of time in the water. Some of their highlights included the delicious meals prepared by the chief Chris, the environment and spending time at the beach. They were pretty exhausted on their return but have quickly bounced back.
After a day of rest they were learning to hand paint and shopping in Zengcheng for any final souvenirs. For this week among many other activities they will be doing some community service in a local village and making a visit to the #1 high school.
With less than two weeks to go, the students from the Snowy River Campus are preparing for their Mandarin finals and working out a community project that will be implemented back in their home communities.
We will be hosting another group of young Australians from Hoppers Crossing Secondary School at the end of the week. They will arrive to our school on the eve of September 10th. Eight students and two teachers from Hoppers will be with us for a week before continuing their travels up north to Beijing. Please give them a warm welcome when you see them floating around the campus.
